Sam Gibson Documentary Wedding Photographers Bristol2018-04-17T15:18:22+00:00

Hello, I’m Sam. I’m a creative documentary wedding photographer.

I live in Bristol with my wife, our little boy, baby girl and our scruffy dog. I work with couples all over the UK and abroad to create beautiful, stylish and unobtrusive images of their wedding days. I specialise in documentary wedding photography, put simply that means I let you relax and be yourselves – I don’t stop what you’re doing, I don’t interrupt or get you to pose for the camera. And that means you get honest, natural and emotive photographs which let you remember your day in the years to come – just the way it was.

I have always loved photography. Somehow I ended up working for the BBC, filming and directing documentaries about people. Then I photographed a wedding and that was that. I was hooked. Using that extensive background in film-making I know how to create a unique, cinematic record capturing all the emotion, spirit and soul of your wedding. I want you to have the best day of your lives, to soak up the atmosphere and spend time with your friends and family while I create beautiful images that stand the test of time. By combining natural documentary photographs with stunning and creative portraits you get a great mix of photography which tells the whole story of your wedding day.

I offer all day coverage which helps ensure a really lovely, relaxed atmosphere and all my couples receive their full resolution digital files to do with as they please. They also get free downloads for all their friends and family. I photograph weddings throughout the UK and beyond – being based in Bristol means I frequently work in the Cotswolds, Somerset, Devon and Dorset – amongst lots of other lovely places! I love to travel, so wherever you’re getting married then please take a look around to see some examples of my wedding photography, or read more about me and my background and what I offer couples.

Your wedding will be one of the single most important days of your life. I know mine was. It’s the end of one story and the beginning of a brand new one. It would be a privilege and a joy to capture it for you.
