I thought I’d break with tradition here and instead of doing a regular old blog post with photographs I’ve decided to show you Amy and Colin’s Little Theatre wedding slideshow from their big day in Bath. The Little Theatre is a cinema and makes an amazing wedding venue! Definitely something a bit different and I loved shooting there. It’s a challenging venue from a photographer’s point of view, after all the point of a cinema is usually to be pretty dark, so lighting the ceremony myself was the only option. I worked hard to create something that kept the feel of the cinema and didn’t distract from the ceremony itself and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Mostly though I’m as grateful as ever to the couples I work with and Amy and Colin were no exception. Warm, engaging, welcoming and emotional people who were happy to be themselves all day long. Thanks for everything guys. They had this to say after they first watched this:

“Sam, it’s fair to say that we are speechless. The photos are even better than we had ever expected and we are so lucky to have had you capture our special day; honestly we are over the moon with them – they’re amazing!! It’s going to be so hard for us to choose one for the thank you cards, we may have to choose several!
