My 2015
So. Here we are. The Christmas wrapping paper is being recycled, the decorations are put away and, for today at least, the sun has been shining outside at the start of a brand new year.
Over the Christmas break I have been going through the thousands of pictures I took during 2015. 41,358 to be exact. And I’ve picked out some images for you. Images I saw which made me remember and made me smile. Which made me think of people going wild on a dancefloor, having a hug with someone they’ve not seen in aaaages, having a quiet moment of just taking it all in while all around them is chaos and hairpsray and laughter and nerves. Images of two people who have decided to say ‘I do’ in front of all their loved ones. Images of people in shock at something they really didn’t think would be mentioned in a speech. Image upon image of kisses and hand-holding and those looks. Those looks between two people that simply say ‘we’ve done it!’
And I’ve absolutely loved taking them all. Each and every one.
To be able to finish your ‘job’ at the end of a day and feel elated and happy and as though you’ve just witnessed something extra special is a total and utter privilege. I’m so excited about what this year is going to bring. But before we leap into 2016, here’s my retrospective of the last 12 months. Thanks to all the couples who chose to work with me, and especially for your kind words afterwards. Enjoy!
P.S – there’s a lot of pictures. I haven’t had as much time to blog this year so I wanted to show you a lot of what I’ve been up to. But I also partly blame my couples. They gave me so much to photograph x
