This was one of those days that almost defies explanation.
Leah and Jon are an extraordinary couple – lovely, warm, generous and funny. And they decided to get married dressed as a giraffe and a penguin.
This wedding was just all kinds of awesome. I don’t know that I can really write much more than that. It was my first ever fancy dress wedding. It was my first time at Streatham and Marlborough Cricket Club. It was the first time I’d gone to a wedding dressed as a wolf. It was the first time I’d seen a registrar get their phone out mid-ceremony and take a picture of the couple and the guests. So thank you Leah and Jon, for asking me to come along. And thank you to Ruth and Neil, who were lovely and super helpful all day. And thank you to Phill who put me in touch with the couple. Here goes….
PS in case you can’t guess by the end, the theme was Animals, Biscuits, Dinosaurs and Robots.
It was our pleasure. Thank you for being a super hero behind the lenses, and becoming a friend in a mater of moments! Love Ruth & Neil. p.s. Awesome pics!
Never have I been so excited to see another photographer’s take on a wedding, never so enthralled with the results! :~) Such a fantastic story.
It must have been a daunting brief, perhaps made more so by Mr Phill’s reference, but you both captured and interpreted the day perfectly. Congratulations Sam, with our sincere thanks for the memories.
This is just absolutely brilliant!
Freakin awesome!
Oh my sweet goodness, you went to a wedding dressed as a WOLF? That might be the best thing I’ve ever heard a photographer say! Where are these couples in my life? I want to go to a wedding dressed as an animal! :-)
You totally slayed it, though, so I’m not TOO jealous. Awesome work!
Oh mate, this is brilliant! Looks like SO much fun, and experiences like this is what it’s all about. Brilliantly captured as well dude :)
