Hey folks! I can’t believe how fast this year is going already. It’s almost mid-february and my 2014 kicked off in style with Lydia and Jon’s black tie winter wedding at the awesome Coombe Lodge in Blagdon. This was previewed over on my facebook page last week and now it’s making its debut on the blog. I love black tie weddings, mainly because it’s a chance for me to dress up even more smartly than normal (okay, and pretend I’m a secret agent too..). Lydia and Jon got married at a church in Bristol and I managed to capture what is probably my favourite intimate church moment yet – Lydia and Jon sneaking in a kiss just before the vicar and their families arrived for the signing of the register. And then we headed to Coombe Lodge for the reception, where people were met with champagne and nibbles and gathered around the roaring fireplace in the main hall. We were pretty lucky on the day – the forecast was for sleet and gales but we managed to find some blue skies for the portraits and we even made use of the rain when it did arrive later on. Take a look at the final shot to see what I mean! It was a lovely, lovely day. Lydia did a fantastic speech and they had a great band in the evening to get everyone up and dancing. Congratulations you guys!
