Shakira and Pete’s wedding gets the full blog treatment on the site today! When I met these two at Crowcombe Court to have a look around, a few weeks before their wedding, I just knew it was going to be a fun day from start to finish. Shakira has one of the most infectious smiles I’ve ever known, and Pete was warm and welcoming and full of ideas for their day. I’d found out a few days before we met that we were going to be having a surprise steam train ride on the wedding day, which none of their guests were expecting. To say I was excited wasn’t really accurate – I literally couldn’t wait! On the day itself I was made to feel so welcome by their friends and family, it was just lovely. And the steam train ride was brilliant. I think it was my first time on a steam train and it was great fun. We boarded at Washford after their ceremony and travelled down the Somerset and Devon coast. It was AWESOME. Then we jumped back on the vintage bus and made our way back to Crowcombe Court, for a sit down meal, a wonderful table full of cakes (reminiscent of something from Great British Bake Off) and then a swinging jazz band later that night. It was just one of those perfect days. Enjoy x
