coombe lodge wedding photography: lou + si

This was one of the last weddings of 2011 for me, and it really was a fun, laughter-filled day. Lou and Si are a really fantastic couple and I knew them from having photographed Lou’s sister’s wedding the year before. I love it when the happiness and joy of the day is written all over people’s faces. They got married at Coombe Lodge, a stunning venue just outside Bristol, nestled in beautiful countryside in the Mendip Hills. They have a fab team who made the whole day go by smoothly. It’s a beautiful house and the gardens are ripe for exploring which is always fun. I’m shooting there a few more times this year and simply cannot wait.

For any future brides that are reading, Lou’s make-up was done by the lovely Kelly from The Barn in Somerset and her dress, which even I can appreciate as being pretty damn spectacular, was by Ian Stuart.

Simon’s best man’s speech had everyone in hysterics. For anyone who speaks German, you might wonder what the picture of the slideshow is referencing. I could tell you, but this is a family friendly blog so I’d better not… Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention the confetti on the dancefloor and the Kanye sunglasses that made an appearance in the evening – but read on and see them for yourself:
