Documentary Photography in 2012
Hello… A slight change to our scheduled programming for this blog post I’m afraid – but I wanted to use this (very small) platform to make a bit of an appeal. I’m looking for a local charity to do some work with over the course of 2012. I would like to donate my time and experience to a charity who would like to have some of their work documented. This is not entirely altruistic – I’d like to use the opportunity to develop my own photography, but I also thought it was worth trying to create something positive from that – and this was the logical outcome.
So, if you work for a charity in or around Bristol, and you think this is something you’d be interested in, please get in touch. You can email me or give me a ring – whichever you prefer. You might have a specific project that you’d like to be photographed, or you may just want an ongoing documentation of your work.
To tell you a bit about me: I worked for 10 years for the BBC making documentary films before becoming a full time photographer. I have spent time filming and photographing in the UK and abroad. I’ve worked with many charities before and am used to working with adults and children in vulnerable and difficult situations. I have an advanced CRB and am fully insured. I thought it would be useful to show you some of my non-wedding documentary work, so I’ve included some shots below. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch.
Thanks,
Sam
