This was a great wedding I photographed back in July. I joined Claudia at the salon on the morning of her wedding. I enjoy this part of the day – it’s always pretty lively and it’s nice to see the bride and her bridesmaids having fun. It’s also quite a good chance for people to get used to having me around and taking photographs.
Claudia’s mum was very kind to let me photograph her with her rollers in. It was sweet to watch her expression as Claudia and her friends sang in the empty marquee…
Then word spread that the cake had arrived. Everyone seemed more excited than normal at this news… it wasn’t until I saw the cake that I realised why.
Getting the dress on was no mean feat. At one point I counted 5 whole bridesmaids under the petticoat. It was definitely worth it though.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man look so proud about tying his own cravat. I love it.
It was lovely to see Chris exchanging glances with Claudia across the aisle.
An impressive example of synchronised cringing here
After the speeches we wandered back out to the garden to watch an AMAZING firework display, swiftly followed by their first dance…
So big congratulations to Chris and Claudia – it was a fab day and I hope you have a wonderful life together!
