Documentary Photography at Kingscote Barn, a wedding in the heart of the Cotswolds
Okay, well what better way to start a blog on a wedding photography site than with a gorgeous early summer wedding with a beautiful bride and lovely weather?
Good, I’m glad you all agree. Helen and Ed got married at Kingscote Barn in the Cotswolds, not far from Tetbury. It was an absolutely stunning day, with blue skies, good company and some real laughs. Anyway, enough with the words, on with the photographs. I started the day by joining Helen and her family getting ready…
I’m not really an expert when it comes to hair, but I think Helen’s hair looks pretty incredible! Helen had her hair done by her Bridesmaid’s sister, and she did a great job.
I think it’s safe to say she was pretty happy with the result too…
Next up came the dress, and Helen’s mum helped her with the fiddly bits.
I thought I’d let you see this one all on its own. The look on Helen’s face is why I really love documentary photography. When people look back on their photographs 5, 10 or even 25 years down the line, these are the images that really speak to them, that remind them of what they actually felt on the day.
I left Helen to finish getting ready and headed over to Kingscote Barn. It’s a really gorgeous venue and on a day like this, it’s especially lovely. Ed’s mum had handmade all the chair decorations herself.
The guests had started to arrive, and the page boy was practising his walk down the aisle with his dad…
As everyone was finding their seat, the anticipation was building…
And then Helen arrived.
Part 2 will come later, once I have a few minutes spare to put it together! Hope you’ve enjoyed it so far.
