my 2012

Well hello there. This here is my look back at 2012. It’s a photographic journey through a year spent documenting momentous days in other people’s lives. There are glimpses of the weddings and engagements I shot and there’s the odd personal picture sprinkled in for good measure. I wanted to choose a selection of images that hopefully show what I do, what I love and how I work – so here are some of my personal favourites from the last 365 days. It’s been quite a year for me. I’ve worked with some wonderful people, had some amazing adventures with friends and family – and in December I found out that I was one of 6 photographers shortlisted as Wedding Ideas’ best wedding photographer for 2013. I really couldn’t have dreamt of a better start to the new year. So I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the couples who’ve worked with me so far. Thank you for your kind words, for being so fun and for letting me share a little of your lives. I’m very grateful. And thank you to those of you who will be working with me in 2013. I cannot wait!

    Sam your work is exquisite you really capture the emotion in every photo you deserve to win, everyone should book Sam there is no one better to photograph the most important day of your life, he makes everyone so relaxed and gets stuck in with all your friends and family and was laughing and sweating taking the photos as much as I was jigging around on the dance floor by the end of the night an absolute legend!!

    Just seen your work published on Bride vs Groom so thought I’d pop over to your site and have a look at the rest of your portfolio, and am incredibly impressed with what I’ve discovered! An eye for the moment, for seeing a great angle, some wonderful framing and great choice of colour vs b&w too. Agree with many of the other comments that I’m sure 2013 will be a brilliant year for you, and deservedly so.
