Hello. My name's Sam and I'm a photographer. You might have gathered that already.
But what does that mean? Well, I grew up with a darkroom at home and I rarely leave the house without a camera on me. Just ask my wife. But that's the same for most photographers. I happen to be obsessed with life, humanity, love and soul - and documenting that on a wedding day is one of the things I like most. I love photographing people and so what's better than spending an entire day surrounded by happy, nervous human beings? Well, pretty much nothing actually. Being able to see and record those minute moments that we all usually miss in our day to day lives is a privilege and a joy.
Before becoming a professional photographer I spent 10 years working for the BBC. I made films (about people), I climbed mountains and sailed down the Amazon and I learnt a great deal about story-telling, about recording events without becoming a part of them, about observing what happens and always being ready to capture that crucial moment. And that's what I bring to my photography. I document your day in an unobtrusive, fun and natural way. Your wedding is one of the single most important days in your life. It's about you and your families, about two people coming together and committing themselves to one another. I think you should be free to enjoy the day, to soak up the atmosphere and to spend time with your friends and family, safe in the knowledge that it is all being recorded for you and for the generations to come.
So if that is the sort of thing you're looking for then please get in touch. I'd love to hear from you
